Employer Posting Terms
¿Prefiere español? Escríbanos a hello@newbeejobs.com. La versión completa en español estará disponible pronto.
- Post only real openings you're authorized to post, with accurate pay, hours and minimum age.
- California postings must show a pay scale in the posting itself.
- Never charge applicants, never discriminate unlawfully, and use applicant information only for hiring.
- We review every posting before it goes live and can edit, decline or remove postings.
- Posting is free during our introductory period. You'll never be charged unless you explicitly agree first.
These terms apply to anyone who posts a job or local gig on newbeejobs, through an employer account or our quick forms. They add to our Terms of Use.
1. Who can post
- You must be 18 or older.
- For a business, you must be authorized to represent it and to post openings for it.
- For a local gig, you must be the household or individual offering the work.
2. Real, accurate and lawful openings
- Post only openings that exist and that you intend to fill. Mark postings filled or closed when they are.
- Describe the job, pay, hours, location and minimum age accurately. Only list a minimum age you can stand behind for this specific position.
- Follow all employment laws that apply to you, including wage, child-labor and work-permit rules for workers under 18, and safety rules.
- Don't post commission-only, pay-to-start, multi-level marketing or "business opportunity" offers as if they were jobs.
3. Pay scales for California jobs
California requires employers with 15 or more employees to include the pay scale in the job posting itself, and a link or QR code doesn't count. The pay scale is a good-faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage range you reasonably expect to pay for the position at hire. If you have a third party post for you, you must give them the pay scale to include.
newbeejobs asks for a pay scale on every California posting, whatever your size, and shows it on the posting. Enter the lowest and highest pay you expect to offer at hire. If you expect to pay one set rate, enter that rate as both numbers. We don't make up pay ranges, and you're responsible for the pay scale being accurate.
4. No fees, no scams, no discrimination
- Never ask applicants to pay anything to apply, train, get hired or start work, or to buy anything as a condition of a job.
- Don't ask for Social Security numbers, bank details or ID documents in a first contact. Collect those only after a real job offer, through your normal hiring process.
- Don't discriminate unlawfully based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by law, in your posting or in how you treat applicants.
5. Applicant information
When people apply to you through newbeejobs, you receive their contact details and anything else they send. You agree to:
- Use applicant information only to consider them for the job and communicate about hiring.
- Not sell it, add applicants to marketing lists without their consent, or share it with anyone who isn't involved in your hiring.
- Keep it reasonably secure and handle it as the law requires.
For postings made through an employer account, applications by email copy hello@newbeejobs.com so we can help if something goes wrong. We tell applicants this before they apply.
6. Local gigs
- Gigs are offered by private households and individuals. newbeejobs does not employ, interview, background-check or guarantee anyone who posts or answers a gig.
- Calling work a "gig" doesn't decide whether the worker is legally an employee or an independent contractor. That depends on the work and the law, and it's your responsibility.
- Many people who answer gigs are teenagers. Expect parents or guardians to be involved, meet in a public place first, and agree on pay and hours up front.
- Don't put your home address or other sensitive information in a posting.
7. What's shown publicly
Your business name, the job details you enter (including pay, hours, minimum age, location and ZIP code) and how to apply (your apply email or link) are shown publicly. For employer accounts, your contact name and phone number are not shown. See our Privacy Policy.
8. Review, reports and removal
How moderation works:
- Review before posting. We review every new posting, and every change to what a posting says, before it shows on the site.
- Reports. Anyone can report a listing for a scam, unsafe work, discrimination or inaccurate information. We review reports by hand and may hide a listing while we look into it.
- Follow-up. We may contact you to fix or confirm details.
- Action. We may edit a posting for clarity or format, decline or remove it, remove a "Verified employer" label, or suspend your account. We may act without notice when job seekers could be harmed, and we may report suspected scams to the appropriate authorities.
9. Pricing
Posting is free during our introductory period. If we add paid features or pricing in the future, we'll tell you in advance. Postings you already have won't suddenly become paid, and you will never be charged unless you explicitly agree first. Paid placements, including sponsorships, are always labeled as paid or sponsored.
10. Your responsibility
You're the employer or the person offering the work, and you're responsible for your postings, your hiring decisions and how you treat applicants and workers. newbeejobs isn't a party to any job or gig.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll let employers with accounts know. Questions: hello@newbeejobs.com.
